Welcome to the UK International Soccer Camps Online Curriculum

A resource that has been created for the benefit of any coach who is actively coaching children how to play the game of soccer. Whether you are an experienced coach looking for a few refreshing idea's or you are a new coach looking to rely on this resource heavily, we wish you all the best and hope that you find what you are looking for from our 1000+ age, skill and level specific activities.

Find A Practice & Find A Session

Find A Practice: Designed for the more experienced coach who is looking for certain activities to fit within a session he/she already has planned. Search from 1000's of pictures and find the activity that will help you get your predetermined message across at practice. Use the search criteria of age (U6 - U14+), skill topic (Passing, Goalkeeping, Dribbling, Shooting, etc) and practice level (Warm-up, Small Sided Game, etc) to find the exact game you are looking for quickly and efficiently. Once you have chosen your activity you will be given a visual diagram of what it looks like, a purpose for the activity, a description of how to organize it, recommended progressions to the activity and also the coaching points you should be looking to communicate. Please feel free to either print the activity straight from our site, or take notes away with you.

Find A Session: Designed for the perhaps the developing coach, the coach who does not have 1000's of idea's as to what to do at practice. Utilize our Find a Session function to receive an entire session planned out for you from start to finish for any age and skill topic you want. You want to teach 9 year olds to pass, you got it, select U10 and passing and you will receive a complete start to finish session plan of age appropriate, progressive activities. The "flow" of a practice is just as important as what you are saying. There should be a structure behind how you start your practice, how you progress in your pratice and behind how you finish your practice. Let UKISC's Find A Session give you these session plans, all you have to do is follow them.

Season Long Development Plan:
There are two ways to go about designing a practice. The first is logically think out "what does a player at 8 (or whatever the age) need to learn at this age to help them be a better soccer player at an older age?". The second is to fight fires the entire season based on the results of your regular season games. Firefighting is working on shooting the session after you missed 5 scoring chances in the game, or clearing the ball after you spent an entire game in your own defensive half. What ever went wrong at the weekend... we solve at the next practice.

UKISC promote the first option, the player development option rather than the team development option, especially at the younger ages. Although there is definitely a need to be competitive in your games as a coach, firefighting the entire season would inevitably mean that you do not spend the appropriate amount of time on the players core skilsl set. Take a pro-active approach to player development. Plan your 14 week season and plan the sessions within it, using our Find A Session function. Seperate the core skills that are involved in playing the game of soccer and ensure at least one week per season is spent on that skill. Below is a sample, generic 14 week plan to follow taking the player development option. For each session, enter the Find A Session and print off a session for that topic, that week.
